Habitat in Asia
Piscis plus quam spithameus, crassiusculus, tectus squamis, laeuibus, rotundatis, distinctis, etiam supra caput, cui puncta 5 excauata, vti etiam aliquot in Maxillis inferioribus.
Anus in medio corporis.
Linea lateralis eluata, recta, sed, desendens supra anum.
Color obscurus fasciis fuscis. Puncta alba in pinna dorsali et postica parte corporis. Ob opercula lateraliter ampla aperienda et ob Squamas nequit esse Muraena; pinna dorsalis incipit pone caput et extenditur fere ad caudam.

Dwells in Asia
It is covered with colored scales even on its head. Its head has five excavacted dots. Those also can be found on the lower jaws.
The anus is in the middle of the body.
The lateral line is visible and it lowers down when the anus is reached.
Its body color is dark and contains blackish stripes. On the dorsal fin as well as on the back part of the body there are white dots. Since it contains opercles which can be opened widely and because it has scales it cannot be a muraene. The dorsal fin start behind its head and stretches to its tail.
The head is compressed and smooth.
The two sense pits are cut positioned in front of its nose.
The gill has five slits.
Its body is of subcylindrical shape and compressed towards the tail.
The back fin starts near the neck.
